Values-based therapy helps clients identify and clarify their core personal values—what truly matters to them—and align their actions and life choices with those values. This foundation promotes a sense of purpose and direction, especially in the face of life’s challenges.

Utilizing a strengths-based perspective, therapy highlights the client’s innate abilities, past successes, and personal resources, empowering them to build resilience and take proactive steps toward change. Rather than focusing on deficits or pathology, this approach affirms the client’s capacities and potential for growth.

Key evidence-based modalities are integrated:

CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) helps clients recognize and reframe unhelpful thought patterns, build coping skills, and change behavior. It emphasizes the link between thoughts, feelings, and actions.

ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy) supports clients in accepting difficult emotions rather than avoiding them, committing to value-driven behavior, and cultivating psychological flexibility.

My name is Jenna and I am a mother, sister, auntie, daughter, friend and Register Social Worker (RSW)! As a RSW with a passion for mental health and holistic well-being, I am committed to supporting individuals through life’s challenges with compassion, respect, and evidence-based care. I bring a client-centered, strength-based approach to counselling, creating a safe and inclusive space where clients feel heard, empowered, and supported in their journey toward healing and personal growth. With experience in areas such as anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, and relationship stressors, I tailor my approach to meet the unique needs of each individual, drawing on modalities such as ACT, CBT, mindfulness, and strengths-based therapy.
